Daytime Foam vs. Nighttime Glow Foam: Which Party Is Your Vibe?
Updated: 5 days ago
Sunshine and bubbles or a glowing party after sunset? Both bring the foam-filled fun, but each creates a different kind of celebration. Here is how daytime foam parties and nighttime glow foam parties compare at VIP Bubbles Entertainment in Jacksonville.
Daytime foam: classic bubbles, big fun
Our daytime foam parties use regular foam for a bubbly outdoor celebration. They are a fun way to build a birthday party or get-together around an activity the kids can jump into together. If your ideal party includes sunshine, laughter, and plenty of bubbles, daytime foam is a great place to start.
Nighttime foam: the glow starts at dusk
Our nighttime foam parties usually begin at dusk. We add a glow color additive that reacts to black lights, giving the foam a bright glow under the lights. As daylight fades, the glow becomes easier to see and the party takes on a whole new look.
The glow effect comes from the additive reacting to black lights. It is not simply regular foam glowing on its own in the dark. Starting around dusk helps us transition into the darker conditions that show off the effect.
What is in the foam?
The bubbles are created by mixing foam solution with water and adding air through the foam equipment. For glow parties, we also use the glow color additive. If you would like specific ingredient information, or a guest has a known sensitivity, contact us before booking so we can discuss the products used for your event.
Want a little extra color?
Color can also be added to the foam for an extra playful touch. Ask us about color options when planning your party. Colored foam and the nighttime black-light glow are different effects, so let us know the look you have in mind.
Dress for bubbles, color, and getting messy
This is a party for play clothes! Our foam is light and airy, and guests generally do not get very wet. If you add color, choose clothes and shoes you do not mind getting dirty or stained. Although color washes off skin, fabrics and accessories may clean up differently, so leave favorite outfits at home.
Bring a small towel to wipe foam from faces, and consider goggles for younger children. Keep phones, bags, and other belongings away from the foam. Follow the event instructions and provide attentive adult supervision. An optional sprinkler area nearby gives kids somewhere to rinse suds off; guests using the sprinkler should plan to get wetter.
Which foam party fits your celebration?
Choose daytime foam if you love the idea of a bright, bubbly outdoor party. Choose nighttime glow foam if you want a dusk-to-dark celebration with foam that reacts to black lights. Either way, a little planning and the right clothes help everyone arrive ready for the fun.

Foam fun in every season
Foam parties are not just for summer in Jacksonville. Our light, airy foam generally leaves guests only lightly damp rather than soaked, making it a year-round party option when weather conditions are suitable. Want a winter-inspired look? For snow foam parties, we fit a special filter to the foam machine so it releases tiny, snowflake-like foam patterns for a gently falling snow effect.
A small towel is useful for wiping faces, and goggles can help younger children enjoy the bubbles. If you have room, a separate, optional sprinkler area nearby is a handy way for kids to rinse off suds. Plan for extra wetness only if guests choose to use the sprinkler.
